Myrna Chamieh has over thirty years' experience in the non profit sector in Lebanon. Myrna had a long and distinguished career at Caritas Lebanon. This included several years as a programme manager in the Health Department where she managed a network of health centres and mobile clinics providing primary health care to vulnerable communities.
In 2005 Myrna developed and implemented Caritas Lebanon’s ground breaking ‘Afterschool Program’, an educational support program focused on preventing children dropping out of school and then being at risk of being exploited as child labour and victims of drug addiction and other forms of delinquency. At its peak the program ran six centres with over 500 children enrolled. Myrna ran the program till September 2019.
The Trustees were pleased to announce that Myrna accepted their offer to become a Consultant to the Trust for all projects in Lebanon from October 2019.
Myrna holds a Master of Public Health degree from the American University in Beirut (AUB) and a Certificate in Project Cycle Management from The Management Development Foundation (MDF) in the Netherlands.
