September 2023: Delivering donations to Beirut
Three schools in Beirut that work with the Trust requested urgently needed supplies over the course of 2023. Many of these supplies were kindly donated by parents and pupils of The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School in North West London. Trustees, with huge help from Laurence (Site Manager), packed these at the school ready for shipping to Beirut.
Early morning departure from The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School in North West London. Daniel Coyle (Head Teacher and Trustee), Cristoforo Rocco (Trustee) loading materials (again with help from Laurence) and our friend from Afghanistan, Homer, who stayed until the boxes were all safely checked in. Thank you so much to all three!
The boxes made it to the airport for check in. A huge thanks to Mr Mohamed El Hout (Chairman of MEA) who authorised free transit of all the materials, to Mr Houssam Weiss (Manager UK/Ireland) and the exceptional team at Heathrow T3 under the leadership of Ms Rania Bakhour.
Some of the contents at the school in Baouchrieh, just in time for the opening of the school year. Thank you again to the parents and pupils of The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School from the Trust and the parents, pupils and teachers of St John Baptist School (Baouchrieh), St Joseph School (Bourj Hammoud) and Sacré Coeur School (Nabaa).
