Pietro has almost a decade of experience in finance and development consulting, particularly in the Middle East and Africa.
Since 2018, Pietro has been heavily involved, both academically and professionally in the development finance space. He has worked as a consultant for numerous international organisations and NGOs. These include the UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), UNDP, OECD, IFAD and ADA Luxembourg, as well as private sector partners in India, the UAE and various Sub-Saharan African countries. Pietro has also focussed on education, working with Opportunity International Edufinance on research and development projects to improve schools infrastructure and students’ access to finance. This aligns closely with the situation in Lebanon and the Trust’s mission there.
Pietro holds a bachelor’s from Oxford University and a master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University in New York. A dual French and Italian citizen, he is currently residing in the UK.
