TCCT grant finances the installation of solar panels at new centre for the
treatment of learning difficulties and after school remedial teaching in Beirut (Lebanon)

The new centre to which the children in the three parish schools have access has
a capacity to treat over 200 children with learning difficulties and provide vital after-school
remedial teaching. The Trust was approached by our partner the Archdiocese of Antelias to
fund the installation of solar panels to make the centre completely self sufficient in electricity
and heating significantly reducing its running costs and lowering its environmental footprint.
Through its consultant on the ground in Beirut the Trust was able to source and negotiate
excellent terms for the installation. The work began during the Christmas break and was
completed prior to the resumption of classes in January.
